LightSmith Images is a mobile professional photography team. Made up of family for your family, we started as horse people. Combining 50 plus years of horse experience with photographic and digital know-how to result in a quality product you can take home.

Your safety is our priority. While excellent at adapting to different situations and maintaining a high standard of quality, we’ll choose your safety over our shots. Having ridden, trained, and showed horses, our team can discreetly monitor your horses and riders to judge their compatibility with movement and noises to determine how we interact in the ring and outside of it. We’ll work to get you the best shot possible and make it as enjoyable as we can.

The LightSmith Images team is a family, honestly. The principal photographer Jessica Holcombe has known her team all her life. The secondary photographer and inspiration is her father, John. John brings a lifelong love and experience with horses and photography to the team. The office and digital coordinator and lady with a plan is her sister, Jennifer. Jennifer brings a passion and excitement for horses and our product to you with her expertise of “the right shot” from her extensive time in market research and having shown for 10 plus years. The primary “runner” and tent associate is her mother, Joan. Joan’s extensive ‘behind-the-scenes’ show experience and 20 plus years in the customer service industry combine to give you information discreetly taken while your in the ring as well as outstanding service in our tent with our product. In addition to our primary team-mates, LightSmith Images’ reserves include, Adam, Jennifer’s husband, our highly capable secondary runner, as well as additional runners and photographers.

Being a mobile unit, we bring a 10x10 tent to your show which contains two systems complete with computers, and printers. This ensures complete image quality and printing out our products so you can walk home with 8x10s that day. The images are shot digitally and transferred from cards in the camera to the computer where our Digital Coordinator organizes and prepares them. You can then take a seat and browse through your images to choose your favorites, which we then print out for you onsite.

Our experienced and caring team will work together to handle your show or farm call to the best of our ability, so that you will get a high quality product to suit your needs.
